Exporting Collection Help

Export binder and collection data for backup, migration, or external analysis.

Exporting Collection

MythicHub allows you to export your binder cards to a CSV file, giving you complete control over your collection data. This feature enables you to create backups, perform custom analysis, make bulk modifications, and share your collection with others.

Active binder cards and sold-card records are exported separately. Use Export cards for the cards currently in your binder, and Export sold cards for the sold-card tracking ledger.

How to Export Your Binder

Exporting your binder cards is simple:

  1. Navigate to the binder you want to export
  2. Click the "Actions" dropdown menu
  3. Select "Export cards" for active cards or "Export sold cards" for sold-card records
  4. A CSV file will be downloaded to your device with a filename that includes your binder name and the current date

Exported Data Format

The exported CSV file contains comprehensive information about each card in your binder. Here's what each column represents:

ColumnDescription
AmountThe quantity of this card in your binder
NameThe full name of the card
Set CodeThe three or four letter code for the card's set (e.g., "MH2" for Modern Horizons 2)
Set NameThe full name of the card's set
Collector NumberThe card's collector number within its set
ConditionThe physical condition of the card (NM, LP, MP, HP, DMG)
FinishThe card's finish (nonfoil, foil, etched, etc.)
LanguageThe language the card is printed in
Extra InfoAdditional card attributes like "Signed", "Altered", etc.
Assigned PriceThe price you've manually assigned to the card
NotesAny personal notes you've added about the card
Scryfall IDThe unique Scryfall identifier for the card

Sold Cards Export

Sold-card exports use a separate CSV because sold rows have sale fields that active binder cards do not have, including purchase price per card, sold price per card, and sold date. To import that file back into MythicHub, choose MythicHub Sold Cards as the import source. This creates sold-card entries only. Learn how sold-card tracking works.

Use Cases for Exported Data

There are many ways to use your exported collection data:

  • Additional Backup: Keep local backups of your collection data for added security
  • Custom Analysis: Import your collection into spreadsheet software like Excel or Google Sheets to perform custom analysis, create charts, or track your collection growth over time
  • Bulk Modifications: Make changes to multiple cards at once in a spreadsheet program, then import the modified file back into MythicHub
  • Sharing Collections: Send your export file to friends or fellow collectors who can import it into their own MythicHub account
  • Cross-Platform Integration: Use the data with other tools and platforms that support CSV imports

Importing Exported Data

After exporting and potentially modifying your data, you can import it back into MythicHub:

  1. Go to your Collections page
  2. Click the "Import" button
  3. Select "MythicHub" for active-card CSVs or "MythicHub Sold Cards" for sold-card CSVs
  4. Upload your CSV file
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the import

Tips for Working with Exported Data

  • When opening the CSV file in Excel or other spreadsheet software, make sure to import it as text data to preserve leading zeros in collector numbers
  • Be careful not to modify the column structure if you plan to re-import the data
  • When making bulk changes, consider creating a backup of the original export file before making modifications
  • If sharing your collection with others, be mindful of any personal notes or pricing information you may want to remove first
