Binder Value & Pricing Options
MythicHub offers advanced features for tracking the value of your collection, managing card prices, and monitoring price changes over time. This guide explains these features in detail to help you get the most out of your collection management.
The main binder page displays comprehensive value statistics for your collection. Different statistics are shown depending on the binder type:
Collection Binder Statistics:
- Total Value: The current market value of all cards in the binder based on your selected marketplace.
- Acquisition Cost: The total amount you paid for all cards with assigned purchase prices.
- Gain/Loss: The difference between the total market value and your acquisition cost, showing your collection's overall performance.
Wishlist Statistics:
- Total Value: The current market value of all cards in your wishlist.
Tradelist Statistics:
- Total Value: The total value of your tradelist based on asking prices (or market prices if no asking price is set).
Value Calculation Details:
The total value is calculated using the following method:
- Primary Value Source: Always uses the current market price from your selected marketplace.
- Fallback for Missing Market Prices: If a market price isn't available, it uses the assigned price (if one exists).
- Condition Adjustments: If enabled, adjusts market prices based on card condition.
The binder value section includes a trend chart showing changes in your binder's total value over the last two weeks.
Chart Features:
- Value Timeline: Visual representation of your binder's value changes over time.
- Annotated Events: The chart shows when cards were added, removed, or updated in your binder.
- Color Indicators:
- Green shows card additions
- Red shows card removals
- Blue shows card updates
- Purple shows multiple types of changes on the same day
Value Calculation Types:
- Stored Values: These are calculated at the end of each day and saved in the database, providing accurate historical snapshots. They're identified as "Stored" in the chart tooltip.
- Estimated Values: These are calculated on-demand by taking card prices from a specific day and applying them to the cards that were in the binder on that day. They're identified as "Estimated" in the chart tooltip.
Note: When you apply filters to your binder view, all trend values become "Estimated" as they're recalculated based on the filtered subset of cards.
The binder table now includes a price changes column, showing how each card's value has changed over time.
Features:
- Period Selection: By default, the column shows weekly price changes, but you can modify this to view daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly changes using the Price dropdown menu.
- Visual Indicators: Price increases are shown in green with an upward arrow, while decreases are shown in red with a downward arrow.
- Sortable Column: You can sort by price change to quickly identify which cards have gained or lost the most value during the selected period.
- Percentage and Absolute Values: Shows both the percentage change and the actual dollar/currency amount change.
This feature helps you track market movements and identify trends in your collection's value, making it easier to make informed decisions about buying, selling, or trading cards.
The binder interface now includes powerful filtering options that match the capabilities of the advanced card search.
New Filtering Capabilities:
- Card Properties: Filter by name, set, rarity, color, type, mana cost, and more.
- Market Price Filters:
- Filter cards with market prices
- Filter cards without market prices
- Filter by price range
- Assigned Price Filters:
- Filter cards with assigned prices
- Filter cards without assigned prices
- Filter by assigned price range
These advanced filtering options give you unprecedented control over your collection view, making it easy to analyze specific subsets of your cards.
