New Import Sources: Dragon Shield, EchoMTG, and TCGPlayer Android

I am excited to announce that MythicHub has expanded its collection import functionality with the addition of three new sources: Dragon Shield App, TCGPlayer Android App, and EchoMTG! This allows you to easily copy or move your collections from these platforms into MythicHub, making it easier than ever to start managing your Magic: The Gathering through MythicHub. These updates are part of my goal to make it as easy as possible to start managing your collection through MythicHub.

New Collection Import Sources

Dragon Shield App

The Dragon Shield App is a popular tool for MTG players, offering features like card scanning and collection tracking. Now, you can directly import your inventory folders from the Dragon Shield App into MythicHub.

TCGPlayer Android App

The TCGPlayer Android App is a widely used tool for managing MTG collections and scanning cards. With this integration, you can now import your collection data directly from the TCGPlayer Android App's CSV export into MythicHub.

EchoMTG

EchoMTG is another fantastic platform for managing your Magic: The Gathering collection, especially for financial-focused collection tracking and real-time price calculations. My new integration option lets you import your EchoMTG collection/inventory into MythicHub.

Improvements to Existing Collection Import Flow

In addition to the new integrations, I have also made significant improvements to existing import sources:

Deckbox

Deckbox imports now include improved handling of card quantities and conditions. To ensure all cards are mapped correctly, make sure to include a Scryfall ID or TCGPlayer ID column when exporting from Deckbox. This eliminates the need for manual adjustments after import.

Manabox

For Manabox users, I have split the import sources into two separate options:

  • Manabox Binder: Use this option if you exported an individual binder.
  • Manabox Collection: Use this option if you exported your entire collection.

These changes ensure more accurate imports, whether you’re working with a single binder or your full collection. Card sets, conditions, and prices now integrate seamlessly into MythicHub. If you're importing a full ManaBox Collection it will be imported into one binder in MythicHub, and the name of the binder from ManaBox will be added as a note.

How to Start Tracking Your Magic: The Gathering Collection

Starting to track a collection might seem daunting, especially if you have thousands of cards from hundreds of sets. Don’t be scared - there always has to be a first step. Based on my experience, here’s how I recommend you begin:

  • Take it slow: Don’t expect to fully add and track your collection in one go. This is a long-term project that will benefit you in the long run.
  • Start with preconstructed decks: Begin by browsing the preconstructed decks you’ve bought in the past and adding the entire decklists to a collection binder.
  • Add custom decks: If you’ve built your own decks, I recommend creating them in MythicHub (or importing them from Moxfield if you have them there) and then adding those whole decks to your binder.
  • Scan your cards: If you prefer to scan cards, you can use an app like Dragon Shield App or Manabox, scan your cards there, and import them to MythicHub.
  • Work gradually: As new orders arrive, add the cards to your physical binder and simultaneously update your digital binder in MythicHub. Assign the purchase price to each card as you add it.

This approach makes tracking your collection manageable and ensures your data is accurate and useful.
