Remove a vitality counter from Living Artifact: Gain 1 life. Use this ability only during your upkeep and only once each turn.

Put a vitality counter on Living Artifact for each damage dealt to you.
o0: During your upkeep, remove a vitality counter to gain 1 life. Remove only one vitality counter during each of your upkeeps.

Does not trigger on loss of life, just on damage.

You can cast it targeting your opponent’s artifacts. The controller of the Aura (not the controller of the artifact) controls the Living Artifact ability.
